의료 생체 재료 공학, 조직공학 (Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering) |
인간의
장기 및 신체의 일부가 손실되었을 경우 과학의 발전으로 인해 이식 및 대체 장기의 개발 및 사용이 크게 증가하고 있다. 생체재료공학은 이식체 및 대체물의 재료에 대해 연구하는 분야이다. 이
분야에서는 생체재료의 물리 화학적 성질뿐만 아니라 인체 내 특수 환경에서 생체 적합하며,
(biocompatibility) 변질없이 내구성이 좋은 재료의 개발 및 환경에 맞게 개질하는
(modification) 방법 등에 관해 연구한다. 조직공학은 현재 인공장기의 많은
문제점을 해결하기 위해 실제 장기의 세표를 채취하여 생체 밖에서 배양하여 장기를 제조하는 것에 대해 연구하는 학문이다. 여러 학문이 접목된 분야이며 현재 우리나라에서도 활발해 시작되고 있다 |
